A one-hour cabaret of popular songs and poems celebrating the bewildering wonderfulness of being female!
William Shakespeare wrote of the 'Seven Ages of Man' over 400 years ago. Now, it's the girls' turn!
In 'The Seven Ages of Woman' I present songs, poems and notable quotes all written by women or about women, reflecting all stages of their lives from cradle to tomb.
I'll be performing words and music from talented ladies such as Victoria Wood, Joyce Grenfell, Maya Angelou, Hollie McNish and many more.
I'll include showstoppers from the Music Halls to the Musicals and words of wit and wisdom from a century ago to the modern day.
It's a whistle-stop journey through childhood, troubled teens, marriage, motherhood - and growing old disgracefully!
After all... "Life is a cabaret, old chum-
come to the cabaret!!"
The performance lasts approx 55-60 minutes.
