A one-hour performance for clubs & societies.
The self-styled 'Queen of the 'Alls' Marie Lloyd sang to packed music halls from 1885 until 1922.
Dressed in a replica of Marie's 1908
Directoire Girl costume, I tell Marie's entertaining rags-to-riches story,
singing her songs along the way,
including favourites such as The Boy I
Love is Up in the Gallery, My Old Man
and Oh! Mr Porter.
Marie had a saucy reputation off stage
as well as on- hear about her flamboyant clothes, her gigantic ego and of course,
her three husbands!
This preview was filmed in 2016 at An Evening of Jazz & Cabaret, at the Norwich Playhouse, fundraising for Breast Cancer Now.
Usually, I sing without a microphone like Marie! More videos are
available on my 'Remarkable Women' Facebook page.
